Power Line blog, LIAR.

Libby case is about to heat up.... Let's review some past lies from the wing-nut brigade. ...but first, the facts:

"There are people elsewhere in government who are trying to make her look like she was the one who was cooking this up, for some reason..."
That was written by a senior CIA official. From the report:

"A senior intelligence officer confirmed that Plame was a Directorate of Operations undercover officer who worked "alongside" the operations officers who asked her husband to travel to Niger. But he said she did not recommend her husband to undertake the Niger assignment. "They (the officers who did ask Wilson to check the uranium story) were aware of who she was married to, which is not surprising," he said. "There are people elsewhere in government who are trying to make her look like she was the one who was cooking this up, for some reason," he said. "I can’t figure out what it could be." "We paid his (Wilson’s) airfare. But to go to Niger is not exactly a benefit. Most people you’d have to pay big bucks to go there," the senior intelligence official said. Wilson said he was reimbursed only for expenses.[36]"

...but this won't stop Power Line clog from creating fallacies to protect thier LIAR and THIEF king georgie... ....after all FACTS have a well known Liberal bias.

AskMom :

We only need 9,999 more pledges to get 1M yearly for Bolton. I volunteer to coordinate the campaign. It would be an honor given that I admire Bolton as much as I detest Pelosi, and that is a very great deal indeed.

Just tell me where to send a few bucks. . . at my email address. I assume that 'comity' to the Democrats means only the GOP giving in to them, they NEVER support the GOP!

Michael :

Let's have him setup a PO Box. Everyone can send checks directly to the PO Box.

I think for tax purposes, these payments would be gifts, and JB wouldn't have to pay any tax on the money. A 37% raise!

Nov 13, 2006 06:15 PM
My 2 Cents :

I'll go one step further. It is widely feared that the Democratic-controlled congress will attempt to block funding for even day-to-day operations of our military in Iraq, or in other vital fronts of our fight against Islamofascism. If there is any way to do it, I would be willing to send money to a fund that is set up to pay for both our soldiers and the supplies they need to keep fighting the enemies of America. Yes, I'd prefer that my tax money do that (since it is THE most fundamental job of the Government!) but if not, then an Army funded by donations is better than no Army at all!

Nov 13, 2006 06:33 PM

I will contribute. I would love to see that Bolton is not subjected to the Congressional hearings.

This will tell Chafee and the democrats something.

Please let us know the details.

McCain. Warner. Graham.

They sold us out. A bait and switch. They are nothing less then traitors. All three of them. All three of them sold out our Bill of Rights for partisanship gain.

...and it isn't just these three clowns. Sen. Roberts of Kansas is a loser as well.
Thank heaven and Earth these nasty un-American sell-outs are soon no longer in power.
In case you have forgotten what the Roberts-jerk said in not so many words: "You can't have your (civil) liberties when your dead." Oh, really Mr. Roberts? Did you tell those "suckers" buried at Arlington that, Senator? Did you tell their families that their son or daughter is a sucker for swearing to defend the constitution from all enemies foriegn and domestic? Did you tell them you are willing to piss 'em away because you're scared? Is that all it takes, traitors?

Yo! McCain! Remember your BULLSHIT line about how you were able to withstand torture as a POW in Vietnam? You said to yourself "We are better. We do - NOT- DO- THIS!!!" Are your demons back, you filthy LIAR?

We have had a seachange this month. We no longer have these traitors writing law. They sicken me. They betrayed US.

I'm Very Sad For Us.

What have we become...?

This is a little quicky video I created based on Jesus General's tribute to the "Declaration of Independence" ..and the United States. Please go to the tribute and sign it. I made a quick video applying Peter Gabriel's "WallFlower" from a record ironicaly titled "security". Gabriel called the title a "throw away". He wrote it based on "then" injustices of Apartheid.

It now applies to us. Wake up America. Please wake up...

Tools of the new U.S. Army Field Manual.

"These men will be held in a high-security facility at Guantanamo. The International Committee of the Red Cross is being advised of their detention, and will have the opportunity to meet with them. Those charged with crimes will be given access to attorneys who will help them prepare their defense -- and they will be presumed innocent. While at Guantanamo, they will have access to the same food, clothing, medical care, and opportunities for worship as other detainees. They will be questioned subject to the new U.S. Army Field Manual, which the Department of Defense is issuing today. And they will continue to be treated with the humanity that they denied others."

The president goes to Capitol Hill to lobby for torture.

A Defining Moment for America
From "The Washington Post":

Friday, September 15, 2006; Page A18

PRESIDENT BUSH rarely visits Congress. So it was a measure of his painfully skewed priorities that Mr. Bush made the unaccustomed trip yesterday to seek legislative permission for the CIA to make people disappear into secret prisons and have information extracted from them by means he dare not describe publicly.

Disney Corp.'s ABC Spews.

"An ABC statement on Thursday charged that critics of the 9/11 film were "irresponsible" in attacking the movie when it was not finalized and was still being edited. However, the network had felt it was final enough to send to magazine reviewers, and reviews have already appeared."
They sent it to RIGHT-WING BIASED media.

"The Times also pointed out Thursday that the climax of the key scene where Berger abruptly hangs up on a request to snatch bin Laden was improvised on the set: "In an interview yesterday with KRLA-AM in Los Angeles, Cyrus Nowrasteh, the mini-series’ screenwriter and one of its producers, said that moment had been improvised."
...Improvised?

Now here's the kicker:
“'Sandy Berger did not slam down the phone,' Mr. Nowrasteh said. 'That is not in the [9/11] report. That was not scripted. But you know when you’re making a movie, a lot of things happen on set that are unscripted.
... Actors saying "I need to take a shit, can we take a break?" That kind of unscripted "things"?

Accidents occur, spontaneous reactions of actors performing a role take place.
Like "I need to take a shit, can we take a break?" and then has a bowel movement on the set?

It’s the job of the filmmaker to say, ‘You know, maybe we can use that.’"
Yeah? ...but do we have to SEE it?

FAKE

You can only laugh. The Mouse is a Republican and doesn't like liberals. When the Mouse financed Moore's “Fahrenheit 911” through Disney's affiliate Marimax, they almost seemed to be on the take with a clever scheme to keep it from being shown by canning it. Moore and his producers had to buy the film back.

If your family is Liberal, the Mouse isn't interested in you. He doesn't give a damn what you have to say. It's pretty sad... ...but understandable. The Mouse is only interested in the almighty dollar and their over-ripe copyrights. Disney doesn't even care about its own family anymore.

The miniseries titled “The Path to 9/11” is pure propaganda. It places blame for the 9/11 attacks soley on Bill Clinton and his NS adviser. It places additional blame on his Secretary of State. Moore's film used factual, admittedly edited but still REAL footage of the subjects themselves to make his case. The Disney “docudrama” uses live... ...actors. It is a series ABC's own terror adviser Richard Clarke called “fiction”. We Americans and our families, our children will be preached at by the likes of Karl Rove in ghost form on the miniseries' debut. I can almost “see” the conversation between Rove and Disney. I'm sure the NSA have them on tape.

I for one am pretty pissed. America's children aren't just Republicans. ...But that's exactly what the corporate Mouse has in store for America's kids. All the debate and over-the-top accusations against the majority of Americans who are questioning the war in Iraq are now being tide to Nazism and their appeasers by both the president and the Secretary of Defense.

Really?

Is that what we are? Did you hear the Disney Corporation's plan to revise your children's opinion and memory of the events before 9-11 through school materials? Who's calling whom fascists? Who's side is the Mouse on..? Forget Alice and the Rabbit hole. This is Orwell and the Memory hole. With Bastards like these who needs Joseph Goebbels?

Whether Mickey is Republican or not is debatable. Disney Corp. definitely is. They're an extreme Right-wing organization and I for one may NEVER watch another Disney picture again. That will take some doing 'cause I love Pixar. I'm really, really Sad. However, I will NEVER watch ABC again. I'm not trying to censor ABC. I WANT them to show it. Really. We will rip it apart. ...and for what it's worth It will also make my decision for me on whether to watch Russert or the other guy on that ABC Sunday morning talk show. I guess “Meet the Press” has my eyes for now.

One last word on censorship:
Many hypocrites are accusing people protesting the miniseries of censorship yet on their very own blog they have this:
“Comments are moderated, and will not appear on this weblog until the author has approved them.”

Figures, don't it?
Rightards suck ass.

Take a peak at a few typical "brave" idiots from "Hot Air" (get a load of their disclaimer! LOL!) or just check out the sample below. He's almost ready to defend Christianity all by himself. I have a suggestion: Remove your sweat pants, undershirt and flip-flops and take a shower. Put some cloths on and dance on over to Iraq and find some of that unreported "good news" you Rightards blab about on your blogs and if "worse comes to worse" you keyboard warriors can show us all how to die with dignity and without converting to Islam? Wouldn't that be fun?

That Damn Liberal Media!

I woke up this Sunday morning as I usually do on any other day, Scratching my eyes as I walked towards the bathroom to wash my hands. I then headed towards the kitchen and the coffee machine. I grabbed the bag of filters and the can of caffeinated coffee beans and the coffee grinder. I tossed the grounded beans and filters into the coffee maker and added water. I then directed myself out of the kitchen and walked toward that wonderful device we all know and love called the “remote control” but this time I grabbed that device and I used it. I switched on the T.V. and began to relax and decided to enjoy the start of my Sunday morning with a political talk show. “Will it be Tim Russert or George Stephanopoulos?” I thought to myself. The glow of the monitor brightly illuminated my face with a warm wash of light as I awaited the Prokofiev intro to “Meet the Press”. To my surprise I got slapped with another volley of Liberal Media. That's right, the Main Stream Liberal Media struck out at me and our God-fearing nation again.

This very morning a damned plane had crashed in Kentucky. I am told 49 passengers had been killed at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. It gets International coverage. I now know Canadians were aboard. Those damn Liberals and their damn MSM machine! How many airplanes land and take off day after fucking day?! Huh? Why can't they report the good news, make that GREAT news that, day after day, week after fucking week planes land, take-off, fly to their destination and then land again here in America? That's right! It all works very, very well. For example, I personally am waiting for my step father to land in LAX tomorrow. Will there be any cameras? Any news journalists from CNN or CBS? The answer is “NO”! On the very EVENT that his plane took off and landed no less! I bet they won't even have a story on the local paper or any of the Network affiliated T.V. Stations! Not ONE successful flight into LAX will be reported on. Not even on that Liberal community cable station! Can't the Liberal media at least once report the good news coming out of our airports?

The DAMN liberal media! Reporting JUST the BAD news. Can anyone now see why I get so damn angry at those damn Liberals? Huh?

The End.

"We're going to be murdered," Marshall Herff Applewhite told a reporter in 1972. "And when we are, after three and a half days, we're going to walk out into life in the next level above human." Two years earlier, hearing voices, Applewhite had checked into a psychiatric hospital, seeking to be "cured" of his homosexual urges. Apparently "cured," the former music teacher went on to become, variously, "Bo," "Do," the "Present Representative" and "The One That Was Jesus." Last Wednesday, he was found dead, along with 38 members of the Heaven's Gate movement, in the worst mass suicide on American soil."

Yup. That about sums it up, doesn't it? Now where the hell have I read this kind of crap lately?

Look in a Dictionary for a Definition.

I try not to think about it but they keep asking us don't they? “What do you think about gay marriage?” Huh? I don't worry about it. “...but the definition." They ask. "Do you believe marriage should be between a man and a woman?” It's not? I go look in a Dictionary. It's a book, one of many the Right refuse to read. Now you don't even need to go to your bookshelf or in the Right's case go to a friend's bookshelf. It's real easy thanks to “dictionary.com”. It says:
mar·riage
n.
1
a The legal union of a man and woman as husband and wife.
b The state of being married; wedlock.
c A common-law marriage.
d A union between two persons having the customary but usually not the legal force of marriage: a same-sex marriage.
2 A wedding.
3 A close union: “the most successful marriage of beauty and blood in mainstream comics” (Lloyd Rose).
4 Games. The combination of the king and queen of the same suit, as in pinochle.

They get the 1 sub “a” definition on the top of the list. Not bad, eh? That's like getting the top rank “I'm feeling lucky” in “Google”. It's better then d sub 4: “The combination of the king and queen of the same suit, as in pinochle.” or 4: “beauty and blood in comics”.

Is that it? Are we all good with it?

Great.

What next? For extra credit, try looking in the dictionary for the definition of “constitution”.

The race is on. Records are being broken... Barry Bonds is on Babe Ruth's Record, etc. King Georgie iv is not just a decider but a "competitorer" as well.

Go King Georgie, go.

So Long as they FEAR Us, Right?

Pushing back at U.S.

From the Baltimore Sun:
"Surveys show that worldwide dislike for America has grown in recent years. And now, it's not just our government they can't stand -- it's us.
"More than a million legal and illegal immigrants enter the United States every year, but when presented with a choice, people around the world say they no longer see America as the prime land of opportunity. Asked where a young person should go to lead a good life, no more than 10 percent of respondents to a 2005 Pew survey in 13 of 16 countries recommended the United States. Australia, Canada, Great Britain and even Germany were all preferred destinations."

You mean King Georgie's policies were meant to "help" the rest of the world "like" us? Oh MY! I BLEW IT! I thought King Georgie iv was trying to be the Mac -as in "Machiavellian". I thought he wanted everyone HATING us! So long as they FEAR us, right? I mean, that's what its all about! Sounds like it's headed in the right direction!!

The Modern Myth

This is another shining example of what the mentaly challenged Right call the "Liberal Media."

From Media Matters:

"Colbert's performance was preceded by a routine in which Bush and presidential impersonator Steve Bridges stood side-by-side behind identical podiums and made light of Bush's rhetorical style, as well as mispronunciations and grammatical mistakes.

But in their subsequent coverage of the event, numerous news outlets focused only on Bush's light-hearted comedy, while omitting mention of Colbert's blistering performance. On the April 30 edition of ABC's This Week, host George Stephanopoulos played an excerpt of Bush's act and remarked that the dinner "gets more inventive every year." That same morning, on NBC's Sunday Today, co-host Lester Holt introduced clips of the Bush-Bridges routine by noting that the "relationship between the White House press corps and the president can be a contentious one, but last night it was all laughs." The footage of Bush's performance also aired on the April 30 broadcast of NBC's Nightly News.

On May 1, all three major networks played clips of Bush's routine on their morning shows, but ignored Colbert entirely. CNN's American Morning did the same."

The favorable Response to "The King and his look-alike Jester Show" received a glorious response from the media yet the biting monologue from Stephen Colbert was almost forgotten completely. So how does this show a Rightwing bias? Well it doesn't at this point. Lets take a look at a few samples of BIASED opinion and what it found most NOTABLE.

From the LEFT:
This is from comments in the "Crooks and Liars" blog. It is Left leaning.
____________________________________

*"That was the best thing I've seen in ages. I guess Laura appreciates his parody, because she looked pissed!
Colbert was great! And that is an understatement. What guts! The crowd was stunned but seemed to enjoy but too self conscious to really revel in the Colbert greatness. There were so many great moments. too many to retell. You have got to see this. WOW!
I'm still LAUGHING MY ASS OFF and I'm gonna watch it AGAIN! C-SPAN IS PLAYING IT AGAIN. Cobert ROCKS. HE IS MY HERO!!!

*"The mainstream "press" can ignore Colbert's patriotism all they want. His performance was juggernaut and will be remembered decades from now.

*This was on par, perhaps higher, than Chaplin's "The Great Dictator".

*"Colberts snarky "lets mock right wing talk show hosts" persona gets real old real fast.
Bush and Cheney are evil, ha ha. Time for a new gimmick, hair guy."

*""bombed" doesn't even begin to describe how bad this guy was. The President and his 'double' were hilarious by comparison. Catch the reun on cspan if you can."

*"Lets face it, as funny as Stewart could be, he still always came across as a typical Bush hating lib, trying to pass himself off as an "independent" thinker.

WHen it came down to it, his "zany" writers were still parroting NY Times Bush bashing propaganda.

Yeah, guys, Bush caused the devastation of Katrina.
Yeah guys, Sadaam was a good guy who was "in his box" and nothing to worry about.
Yeah guys, McHalliburton is out to take over the world.
Just the same lefty talking points with sarcasm. Like that smug assed little turd Bill Mahr."

"Midwestprof" 4/30/2006 09:37AM PDT

*I watched the clip over at Hot Air.
("Hot Air" is a Video Blog similar to "Crooks and Liars" -g.)

"I watched the link Charles gave. The double Bush, double podium was a brilliant idea. I wonder who came up with it.

Bush drew huge laughs....the Colbert guy only drew courtesy laughs. I didn't like him or think he was funny. Hope liberal Comedy Channel goes the way of Air America; I have no need of them. Sorry."

*"Colbert earned some impressive moments of silence after delivering his "jokes."

I mean, who wouldn't think it's hysterical to describe the US President standing on the rubble of the World Trade Center days after 9-11 and speaking to those searching for bodies as a "powerfully staged photo op"?"

*"I watched it all last night. President Bush and Steve Bridges kept me laughing. Colbert's roast had no punch lines, and the film clip with Helen was dull and uninspired."

_______________________________
Now you compare the above with the MSM reporting of Colbert's biting moment. You tell me what side of the fence the MSM is on. You might say "He's just a comedian blasting Bush. So what, right? Not newsworthy. ". Fine. Take a look at what Imus did in '96 with Clinton's percieved problems and the "Liberal Media"'s response.

"I wont report the news to you, I'll *FEEL* the news AT you."
-Stephen Colbert on "The Colbert Report".

Colbert has these guys down pat.
Thank you, Stephen Colbert.

US admits Iraq is terror 'cause'

By Tom Baldwin

"Report says that 11,000 attacks worldwide shows the war has become driving factor for extremists THREE years after its invasion of Iraq the US Administration acknowledged yesterday that the war has become "a cause" for Islamic extremists worldwide and there is a risk of the country becoming a safe haven for terrorists hoping to launch fresh attacks on America."

...so, What's Going On With "American Idol"?

From Portland IMC:

"The US media refuses to acknowledge that Iran plans on opening it's Oil exchange up in EUROS beginning next week. The sanctions being placed on Iran through the UN will outlaw countries from using this market, thus keeping the US' stranglehold on the oil markets who have traded solely in the US dollar up until now. US would lose $1 Trillion a year if this market is opened."

"Krassimir Petrov joins Joe Broadhurst from CKUT to discuss how $1 Trillion will be shifted away from the US dollar as a direct result of Iran opening its oil market in Euros. The US cannot sustain economic viability with such an occurance. This is the real reason the US, using Israel, will bomb Iran. The mainstream media won't touch it."

This Ain't No "Cinnamon Girl"

From Neil Young's blog:
"The first track, "After the Garden" (as in "after the garden is gone") grabbed hold of me right off and didn't let go for the rest of the album. This is Neil Young in full rock mode, all electric guitars and urgent vocals. I was immediately reminded of "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere." In the interview in yesterday's paper, he said he was waiting for a younger writer to write these songs, to stand up and protest the president's policies and the whole culture of the abuse of power that this country has been subjected to in the last five years, but nobody stepped up and he realized it was up to us, the generation that stood up to Viet Nam and ended a war and a presidency 30 years ago."

Pete Townshend sent an open letter to Michael Moore saying in effect:"But he'll have to work very, very hard to convince me that a man with a camera is going to change the world more effectively than a man with a guitar." He(Townshend) suggested Neil Young to Moore for the ending of his film.

OK Pete... You win on both counts.
...but you asked for it.

It's for You.

WASHINGTON - Key figures in a phone-jamming scheme designed to keep New Hampshire Democrats from voting in 2002 had regular contact with the White House and Republican Party as the plan was unfolding, phone records introduced in criminal court show.

The records show that Bush campaign operative James Tobin, who recently was convicted in the case, made two dozen calls to the White House within a three-day period around Election Day 2002 — as the phone jamming operation was finalized, carried out and then abruptly shut down.

The national Republican Party, which paid millions in legal bills to defend Tobin, says the contacts involved routine election business and that it was "preposterous" to suggest the calls involved phone jamming.

Virtually all the calls to the White House went to the same number, which currently rings inside the political affairs office. In 2002, White House political affairs was led by now-RNC chairman Ken Mehlman. The White House declined to say which staffer was assigned that phone number in 2002.

Oh My God.

From the New Yorker:

"A government consultant with close ties to the civilian leadership in the Pentagon said that Bush was “absolutely convinced that Iran is going to get the bomb” if it is not stopped. He said that the President believes that he must do “what no Democrat or Republican, if elected in the future, would have the courage to do,” and “that saving Iran is going to be his legacy.”

"A senior member of the House Appropriations Committee--said that no one in the meetings "is really objecting" to the talk of war. "The people they're briefing are the same ones who led the charge on Iraq. At most, questions are raised: How are you going to hit all the sites at once? How are you going to get deep enough?" (Iran is building facilities underground.) "There's no pressure from Congress" not to take military action, the House member added. "The only political pressure is from the guys who want to do it." ... "These politicians don't have a clue, and whenever anybody tries to get it out"--remove the nuclear option--"they're shouted down."

While senior military officials oppose the use of nuclear weapons, Hersh's sources add that the idea "has gained support from the Defense Science Board, an advisory panel whose members are selected by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld."

The Madness of King Georgie IVth.

One of the Republican's "new ideas".
World war III.

Derelict of Duty

dereliction:

n 1: a tendency to be negligent and uncaring; "he inherited his delinquency from his father"; "his derelictions were not really intended as crimes"; "his adolescent protest consisted of willful neglect of all his responsibilities" [syn: delinquency, willful neglect] 2: willful negligence

Boston Globe: Roberts ‘Intends To Retreat’ On Phase II Promise.

“Nor has the Republican-led Congress been much better about oversight and accountability. Yes, the Senate Intelligence Committee did issue an initial report on prewar intelligence failures. The preelection agreement, however, was that after the election the committee would turn its attention to the way senior policy makers used that intelligence in the run-up to the war. It has since become blindingly apparent that Senator Pat Roberts, the committee chairman, intends to retreat on that commitment. In a July 20 letter to US Senator John Kerry, the Kansas Republican made it clear that he doesn’t see that as an important priority, and that even if his committee completes phase II, the results may not be made public.” [Boston Globe, 9/13/05]

Ha-Ha! You Joker You!

We get it now! Ah-hah! Funny! Funny! You prankster you! You weren't going to let us in on it, were you? Huh? Yeah... You told us about yellow cake from Niger! Ha-ha! In the SOTU! Then you had Powell go to the UN and scare us all to hell! The little bottle of powdered Anthrax as a prop, you know? You then distracted us from the weapons inspectors in Iraq while they were finding nothing... They were blowing the whole Joke! Ya had ta move fast! You then moved quickly with the bombing of Iraq. You just barely saved the punchline! Ha-ha! Told us all it was for WMD! He-he!

Then Joe Wilson's wife was outed by Novak! Ha-ha! The punchline to that joke wasn't going to hit us yet... You had that hilarious press correspondence dinner when ya let us in a little-bit on the joke, looking around the oval office for WMD, poking under the curtain and under the desk. You were showing us slides while you narrated, saying: “Are there any weapons under here? Nope! How 'bout over here?” Ha-Ha! It's all making sense now, eh? Let me ask ya Mr. President, you know, I mean.. Yeah, it's funny but when were ya gonna tell us about leaking the identity of a CIA operative, huh? I mean, a $1 Million dollar investigation, c'mon! People going to jail like Judith Miller! Were they in on the joke, too? You know, like Cooper from Time magazine? What about Scooter and Dick, huh? C'mon! Dick must know, right? ...Scooter 'n' Rove? Ya had to have told 'em, right? I mean, ya must o' got 'em all around in a room, maybe the oval office and said: “We gotta keep this away from Fitz, now that Ashcroft had to recuse himself.” Ashcroft didn't want any part of it obviously. The joke I mean. I guess John ain't a practical jokester. Right?

How 'bout the CIA, eh “W”? I can call ya “W” right? Can I? Now tellin' Rove and Scooter to lie for ya is obstructing justice, ain't it? How long were ya gonna let the press rot in jail before you let us in on it? Huh? I don't think Libby thinks it's funny anymore, how 'bout you? I haven't asked but what about the families of more then 16,000 American casualties? Eh? The Iraqis? Where is that number? 200,000 maybe more? Ya think they have a sense of humor?

Do you think they'll get the joke?

WHAT ABOUT MY BLUE FINGER?!

"U.S. envoy reportedly seeks new Iraq PM"

By Qassim Abdul-Zahra, Associated Press Writer
BAGHDAD, Iraq --

The U.S. ambassador to Iraq has asked one of Iraq's most prominent
Shiite politicians to seek the withdrawal of Prime Minister Ibrahim
al-Jaafari's contentious nomination for a second term, two aides said
Monday.

The aides to Abdul-Aziz al-Hakim said U.S. Ambassador Zalmay
Khalilzad, had asked their boss during a meeting Saturday to
personally deliver the message to al-Jaafari.

"The U.S. ambassador's position on al-Jaafari's nomination is
negative. They want him (the prime minister) to be under their
control," al-Adeeb said.

Sen. Pat Roberts is an Asshole.

What would you say to an employee who showed up for 3 days out of the week and refused to do his job? Sen. Roberts is chairman of the Senate Intelligence committee. He has over-site on executive power relating to intelligence matters in both foreign and domestic intelligence. The New York Times published a story informing Americans that the King Georgie IV administration has unlawfully spied on Americans. What is Pat's duty? Say again? King Georgie violated federal law. The king LIED about it. He violated the 4th amendment to the constitution. He violated the FISA act. Has Pat held a hearing? NO. What is Pat's job again? He tells us instead, without a hearing, that the King did not violate the law. He tells us “You don't have civil liberties if you're dead.”

Well Senator Asshole Roberts, apparently we don't have them alive either, thanks to you.

We have been told since childhood that we have rights and protections from our government representatives and executives. We were told that men and women have DIED defending those freedoms and civil liberties. Sen Roberts thinks we should just give 'em up and trust our KING. SCREW YOU, ROBERTS! Damn you all to hell you son of a bitch! I was told Americans bled and DIED for those rights! You tell us to give 'em up 'cause it's better then being dead? Is that what you tell the gravestones at Arlington? What the HELL happened to “Give me liberty or give me death!” eh, COWARD?! Damn YOU! The LEAST I can do for those men and women who died defending my rights as an American is to stand up to apologists like YOU who seem to think it's just fine for assholes like you and our King to violate the law, your oath to your office and the constitution! The very thing those men and women died for!

GOD I hate you people.

Tweety Takes the Red Pill.

In the "Open Letter to Chris Matthews" blog there are a few examples where Matthews sounds like he writes for the "Weekly (pronounced WEAKly) Standard" or "The American Spectator".

Yesterday wasn't one of them. On Imus's radio/TV broadcast on MSNBC and at about the time most of us are sleepwalking, Matthews decides to sound... ...sane. Real. He gets it! What we "traitors" and "cut and runners" have been banging our heads against the wall about, from Tweety's mouth to God's ear!

Chris Matthews: "Well I am just going to stick to this point that the president led us in there with the background music of American culture. Everybody was led to believe that we were getting payback, we were avenging what happened on 9/11 and that we are going to get them. Vice President Cheney said we are going to attack terrorism at its base. Over and over the language was, this is where it came from, in fact most recently the President suggested that it was always the hot pursuit, like a new York police chase, we chased them back into their country. We pursued the terrorists back to Iraq and it's all nonsense. The reason there are terrorists in Iraq today like Zarqawi is we created the opening by blowing the country apart. From the beginning it's been not true. Now you can't prove motive and you can't prove somebody lies, but from the beginning everything about how they've got WMD's, they are a threat to us, they are going to bomb us with a nuclear weapon, this country is going to be an easy liberate, it's going to be a cake walk. As Cheney said as recently as ten months ago the insurgents are in their last throws. Everything that is said is not true. And right to the end here, here we are now and it's not a civil war and when Allawi the prime Minster is saying it is a civil war and here is the president quoting his own people that it's not a civil war. I mean the denial has been continuous. So you really can't count on the administration to tell you what is going on. That is just the fact. You've got to check it out. By the way, the president said this week that he wants the whole truth about what is going on in Iraq, the whole truth and that the media isn't telling the whole story. I'll tell you what we are not telling. We are not showing pictures of the twenty five hundred bodies coming back because they won't let us show the pictures. They don't want the whole truth out and that's the fact."

Good morning, Tweety. You sound just like me...
What the hell, Chris?

Go to "Crooks and Liars" for the video. "Crooks and Liars", you are the best.
-g.

England has her Queen mother...

...and we have our Queen Bitch of the universe.

Here are some of her wonderful quotes and doings from the past and present...

On war...
~"But why should we hear about body bags and deaths and how many, what day it's going to happen, and how many this or what do you suppose? Oh, I mean, it's, not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?" ...because they wasted their lives on your lying son's war you heartless bitch.

On the homeless;
~“And so many of the people in the arenas here you know, were underprivileged anyway. This is working very well for them.” ...Yeah. Let them eat cake, eh?

...and on giving;
~"Giving frees us from the familiar territory of our own needs by opening our mind to the unexplained worlds occupied by the needs of others."

Former first lady Barbara Bush donated an undisclosed amount of money to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund with specific instructions that the money be spent with an educational software company owned by her son Neil. I'm guessing this is an example of "unexplained worlds occupied by the needs of others".

Even Grandma keeps time for the first crime family.

Tweety's Long, Long Dubai...

Matthews does it again. He plays “Puffball” with Congressman Duncan Hunter. Dubai this, Dubai that... Dubai is a CON. Dubai was a set-up to give Republicans the look and feel of challenging the King. I'm pretty sure the whole thing was worked out long in advance, a little gift to congress via Rove. The King only had to say “VETO” while all the fake, angered Republicans can say “Oh, MY! Not our PORTS!”. As they “fought” tooth and nail, body slamming in the pro-wrestling arena known as Washington D.C. For the upper hand, we all wondered “How will this end?”.

Dubai packs it's bags and goes home. Did you ever see the Paul Newman movie “The Sting”?

Let me Remind you all who Congressman Duncan Hunter (R) of San Diego is. Last year, when Congressman Murtha suggested that our troops pull out of Iraq as soon as possible to “the horizon” known as the “Murtha Resolution”, That son of a Bitch Hunter pushed the “poisoned pill” resolution that would require troops to be pulled out immediately. I didn't hear Mr. "HardBall" Tweety ask that SOB why he put that resolution to the floor...

Why didn't Matthews play?
He only plays hardball with Democrats.

I just can't understand it. After all, it SURE the hell is the Republican party who like to play games.

MWO is Off-line but...

MWO's (INCOMPLETE) POCKET GUIDE TO RIGHT-WING LIES ABOUT BILL CLINTON
AND OSAMA BIN LADEN

from:
http://www.mediawhoresonline.com/

The right-wing and the Media Whores continue to spread the atrocious lie that Bill Clinton did little or nothing to stand up to Osama bin Laden. It has been part of the right-wing excuse machine since September 11 -- the old trick of, when cornered, blame Clinton. Rush Limbaugh's smear in the Wall Street Journal was typical: "Mr. Clinton can be held culpable for not doing enough when he was commander-in-chief to combat the terrorists who wound up attacking the World Trade Center and Pentagon."

...And now, in the wake of the continuing breaking news of the Bush 9/11 scandal, the right wing and the Whores are at it once again, trying to apply a fresh coat of Teflon to the pitted Bush Administration by telling lies about Bill Clinton. Supposedly, Clinton did nothing when Al Qaeda attacked American embassies in Somalia and elsewhere, when it attacked the U.S.S. Cole,
and so on and so on. The right wing and its pliable Whores have even convinced a sizeable portion of the American people -- at least according to one of the Media Whore polls -- that Clinton's inaction is in partly to blame for the atrocities of September 11.

CLINTON'S INACTION? This is one of the ugliest right-wing/Media Whore lies yet. But since the news media are too frightened of Dubya and Karl to tell the truth, MWO has to fill in the gap. Here, adapted from one of Bill Press's old columns, is a highly incomplete list of steps that Bill Clinton and his Administration took against bin Laden and Al Qaeda. Compare it to the utter inaction/failure -- indeed, the complete abandonment of Clinton's determined anti-terrorist policies -- by the Bush Administration over the first eight months of 2001.

1996

Clinton administration brokers an agreement with the government of Sudan to arrest bin Laden and turn him over to Saudi Arabia. For 10 weeks, Clinton tried to persuade the Saudis to accept the offer. They refused. With no cooperation from the Saudis, the deal fell apart. No media operation bothers to look into what influence the Saudis' old friends in the Bush family may have had in convincing the Saudis to refuse to cooperate.

1998

-- Clinton gives the CIA a green light to use whatever covert means are necessary to gather information on Osama bin Laden and his followers, and to disrupt and preempt any planned terrorist activities against the United States.

-- The CIA, under Clinton, trains and equips five dozen commandos from Pakistan to enter Afghanistan and capture bin Laden. The efforts collapse when a military coup overthrows the Pakistani government and installs a new one.

-- Clinton signs a secret agreement with Uzbekistan to begin joint covert operations against bin Laden and Afghanistan's Taliban regime. U.S. Special Forces have been training there ever since.

-- Clinton's unleashes cruise missile attacks on bin Laden in Afghanistan and the Sudan, following the terrorist bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Operating on limited intelligence --

at that time, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Tazikistan refused to share information on the terrorists whereabouts inside Afghanistan -- American forces miss killing bin Laden by only a couple of hours.

-- Republicans (led by Trent Lott) and Naderites (led by Ralph Nader) accuse Clinton of only firing missiles in order to divert media attention from the Lewinsky hearings. A longer campaign against bin Laden would have stirred up even more criticism.

1998-99

-- Clinton sponsors legislation to freeze the financial assets of international organizations suspected of funneling money to bin Laden's Al Qaeda network, but it is killed, on behalf of big banks, by Republican Senator Phil Gramm of Texas. George Bush will later call for identical legislation

-- but only after September 11, 2001.

1999-2000

-- Clinton Administration, through press spokesman Joe Lockhart, goes public with warnings of a "general" threat from Al Qaeda. Clinton's intelligence agencies then stop cold bin Laden's planned "millennium" bombing plot aimed against the Los Angeles International Airport.

As we say, this is a HIGHLY incomplete list. (MWO invites readers to send in their favorite additional examples.) For more details about Clinton Administration anti-bin Laden activities in 2000, and Bush Administration indifference, see Michael Hirsh and Michael Isikoff's current Newsweek article, including the following passage:

By the end of the Clinton administration, the then national-security adviser Sandy Berger had become "totally preoccupied" with fears of a domestic terror attack, a colleague recalls. True, the Clintonites had failed to act decisively against Al Qaeda, but by the end they were certain of the danger it posed. When, in January 2001, Berger gave Rice her handover briefing, he covered the bin Laden threat in detail, and, sources say, warned her: "You will be spending more time on this issue than on any other."

Rice was alarmed by what she heard, and asked for a strategy review. But the effort was marginalized and scarcely mentioned in ensuing months as the administration committed itself to other priorities, like national missile defense (NMD) and Iraq. Clinton fought bin Laden tooth and nail -- whereas the Bush Administration cut off drone tracking of bin Laden, abandoned federal oversight of terrorist money laundering and offshore banking operations, and, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, ordered federal agencies to "back off" the bin Laden family.

“It Didn’t Work”

“It Didn’t Work”

-William F. Buckley on National Review Online (NRO) February 24, 2006 on the latest excuse as a reason for the Iraq war.

It takes the Right a long time to get it... ...right. There may be no one human other then Buckley Jr. on the face of this Earth that is a conservative and who can be reasoned with or who could earn conceding to. Buckley Jr. is a hero to both old- and Neo-conservative alike. Yesterday he wrote of our King:

“He [George W. Bush] will certainly face the current development as military leaders are expected to do: They are called upon to acknowledge a tactical setback, but to insist on the survival of strategic policies.

Yes, but within their own counsels, different plans have to be made. And the kernel here is the acknowledgment of defeat.”

He finally gets it. -Sort of. More important he has spoken out and called to the fact that the emperor has no clothes and he needs to go back to the closet. He has finally lamented what others have said years ago. He is now among those called “traitors”, “cowards” and the many who would “cut and run”.

Welcome aboard Mr. Buckley Jr., You are among respectable company.

Allah Ass Kissers

Can you believe this?

...and I'm not concentrating on just Muslims. This is the very flower of behavior from the religious wack-job. Why do "true believers" kill? Burn churches? Torture? Crucify? Hold inquisitions? Build a bigger cathedral, mosque or temple? Smack the top of your hand with a ruler? Shake his or her finger at you? Chop your head off? Cut your tongue out? Grab you by the ear? It is the ultimate ass kiss for the ultimate boss. Why would I say this? How can I not believe the sincere devotion of the "true believers" and the "devoted"? Simple. Why does an omnipotent, all knowing, all powerful God need defending? How could a God be offended? Why would a God have an inferiority complex? Why would God need to have his or her self-confidence propped back from where it was presumed toppled? Does Allah need counseling after a silly political cartoon? Does Jesus have his feelings hurt when his nativity scene isn't displayed out front of the state's legislature building? Is God's feelings hurt when his ten commandments are not included in the lobby of a courthouse?

I was wondering how many Liters of blood or how many kilograms of flesh would make the lord feel a little better and lift his chin up?

Just asking. I'm an equal opertunity offender. I'll even pay for your God's shrink. Have him call or e-mail me. ...but please, stop the killing.

Dead-Eye Dick

I haven't made many entries of late but from the looks of the number of replies I think it's only the NSA and me doing the reading.

I've decided to weigh-in on V.P. DICK's shooting his friend with a shotgun. Pretty funny, eh? Ya couldn't make this stuff up and get away with it. Doug Thompson from capitolhillblue.com has a great scoop, giving us an inside look at the Secret Service report of the incident and it looks like the cyborg was on the sauce. Not only that, a ballistic test has given “smoking shotgun” evidence that Mr. Whittington was less then 30 feet away, much less then 30 yards, from dead-eye DICK's WQD. (weapon of quayle destruction.) So there are the pieces so far as they stand regarding Dead-eye-Dick's blowing his friend away. ...the Kenedy, Texas local press not withstanding.

...and Just when you think it couldn't get any wackier,
there's always Mr. Whittington's apology.

Fascism at the SOTU

"Are there any queers in the theater tonight? Get 'em up against the wall." -Roger Waters in "The Wall"

Whether you hate Cindy Sheehan with sinscere passion and think she's part of a great pinko conspiracy or you think she's the greatest thing since cel phones; We should all note this little act of betrayal to our constitution by our government.

From www.pnionline.com:

"Did you know that in 1971, the Supreme Court said it was unconstitutional to arrest a man who wore a "F--- the Draft" T-shirt into the courthouse? (Cohen v. California) So now Alito's on the court for 45 minutes and your civil liberties are already going down the toilet. You were warned."

Somebody at Daily Kos suggested that every American who's appalled by what happened tonight should -- on the same day -- wear a T-shirt that reads "2,245 Dead -- How Many More?? to work, school, church, court (by day's end, perhaps) or wherever we need to be. It's our right, after all."

Indeed.

"State of the — State of the Union — or state — speech to the nation, whatever you want to call it, speech to the nation" is over. I have a hangover.

I didn't even partake in any of the drinking-game recipes dallied about in yesterday's editorial pages. All I had was a glass of freshly-squeezed lemonade. I passed out kinda late last night, posting Chris Matthew's multiple lies on Cindy Sheehan's son Casey, claiming Casey had died in Afghanistan rather then Iraq...and today the room is now spinning. King Georgie IVs speech yesterday gave us an idea on how he's going to deal with his looming massive deficit. The aftermath of Katrina in the state of Louisiana. The immigration problem. The occupation in Iraq. The prescription drug program.

He's going to ignore them.

Did anyone note Justice Alito (Oh, my head...) jumping for joy when The evil “W” monkey whom resides in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave mentioned his “Terror Surveillance Program” was perfectly legal and necessary for the war on Terra? Neither did I but you could almost see it on Justice Scalito's face, (Oh, my aching head.) that twinkle in his eye...

Politics in Anime.

Pop culture has influence and is heavily influenced. It's the over-stated metaphore of life imitating art or art imitating life. The chicken or the egg. “The Matrix” film series that started in the late '90's almost owes its whole existence to William Gibson, the father of “CyberPunk”. The film was and is probably the best live-action film adoption of “CyberPunk” made. Other influences of the “Matrix” series includes the injection of religiosity (is that a word?) in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. I'll leave it to you on whether that was accomplished. The last major influence of the “Matrix” series is Masamune Shirow 's Manga “Ghost in the Shell”. Masamune Shirow is a unique bird indeed. Besides his artistic talents he likes studying arachnids, he enjoys diving into politics and right before you start asking “Where the hell are you going with all this?” that's where the title of this post comes in.

In 2002, GIS was converted into an anime series by a Japanese animation studio named “Production I.G.”. Its second season, “Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd GIG” airs on Saturdays at 12:30 a.m. or how I like to think of it, 30 minutes after midnight. It sits comfortably within the “Adult Swim” time slots on Cartoon Network. It dives directly into the sometimes complex patterns of politics. The current multi-faceted second season seems to have gone full-throttle into the Israeli-Palestinian conflict model. The series orbits around a cyborg character named Major Motoko Kusanagi, a weapons and hacking expert in a future-Japan that tries to deal with, in this case, the complexities of a growing refugee population. It also includes their very own suicide bombers and an “American Empire” with a relatively detailed world history. There are two movies made as well. One was released recently and the first was made in the mid 90's. Both movies deal more with consciousness and its definition or at least tries to in both films.
Not easy.

Check it out if you get stood-up on a Saturday night or SNL is just another rerun. The series also includes a personal-favorite of mine: Music by Yoko Kanno.

"State of the — State of the Union — or state — speech to the nation, whatever you want to call it, speech to the nation" is this week.

...and "Open Letter to Chris Matthews" is asking us to monitor MSNBC to check if Matthews can inform ALL of America and not just his half. It would be nice if, during King Georgie IV's SOTU speech, all the Democrats had to go and get popcorn. All at once.

Is this the source of Tweety's bird cage droppings?

We are now well into the second week of holding Matthew's feet to the fire and he seems to be ignoring us. The comparison he made to anyone on the left of Genghis Khan was that they sounded just like OBL. It infuriated Americans who question the "reasons" for going to war in Iraq.

Chirp! Something has come to light!

On Jan 28th '06, Military.com came out with a story that got my tin foil hat vibratin'. The proud biased owner of NBC and MSNBC, General Electric, is staged to have $2 Billion cut. GE's F-35 or "Joint Strike Fighter" contract is coupled with Rolls Royce and both are gearing up for engine production, only to have King George shatter their plans. Oooooooooo. That might dip into the Tweety's bird seed.

Military.com writes:

"The Joint Strike Fighter engine is being built by General Electric and England-based Rolls Royce, and the plan to dump them as suppliers has triggered intense lobbying, including a handwritten note from British Prime Minister Tony Blair to Bush."

"On the homefront, the close to $2 billion cut would hit General Electric engine plants, and possibly jobs, in Ohio and Massachusetts and a Rolls Royce plant in Indiana."

Could this be the reason Tweety is using us as bird cage liner? Another source.

Reuters is reporting King Georgie IV will not honor his agreement with US Soldiers.

Reuters is reporting King Georgie IV will not honor his Majesty's agreement with US Soldiers. This is PATHETIC. How in the world will the military convince young Americans to volunteer for the U.S. armed forces? Will they pay for college? Will the military give those volunteering the money our "monarch" promised?

"As the war in Iraq drags on, the Army is accumulating a collection of problems that cumulatively could call into question the viability of an all-volunteer force," said defence analyst Loren Thompson of the Lexington Institute think tank.

"When a service has to repeatedly resort to compelling the retention of people who want to leave, you're edging away from the whole notion of volunteerism."

When soldiers enlist, they sign a contract to serve for a certain number of years, and know precisely when their service obligation ends so they can return to civilian life. But stop-loss allows the Army, mindful of having fully manned units, to keep soldiers on the verge of leaving the military.

The Science of Fascism.

After that speech and the release of data by Dr. Hansen on Dec. 15 showing that 2005 was probably the warmest year in at least a century, officials at the headquarters of the space agency repeatedly phoned public affairs officers, who relayed the warning to Dr. Hansen that there would be "dire consequences" if such statements continued, those officers and Dr. Hansen said in interviews. From the NY Times.

This is a cover from the LA Times' mag'zine "Parade".
